Large rare Book Cliff Barite crystal on matrix. 200 grams

Transparent water clear barite crystal attached to the matrix where it formed. Crystal weight estimate is 200 grams. Total weight is 435 grams.

Natural facet on matrix backing.  Impressive crystal measuring 85x65x30 mm not including the shale.

Barite crystals are quite heavy for their size. The water clear crystals are only found in the Book Cliff formation.

These crystals are all one of a kind and were carefully hand mined in 2022 from the Sirius Mine in the Book Cliffs near Grand Junction Colorado.
